LSO’s adopted Child

The weekend of January 23-24th (Fri-Sat) The LSO girls attended the Revolve Tour in Greensboro. They were blessed in many ways, and one of those ways has blessed our entire youth group! They felt the Lord leading them to sponsor a child who is in need through the World Vision Organization.

What this requires is that we as a Youth Group contribute $30 monthly to this cause. That is only $1 a day. That’s nothing considering we typically get 50+ students in service on any given Wednesday. What will we be giving as a sponsor? Through sponsorship we will help transform not only the life of our sponsored child, but also her family, community and other children. Most importantly we will be demonstrating the unconditional Love of God!

So, what we need everyone to do is first and foremost, pray for our child that we are sponsoring. Her name is Mirna Valentina, memorize it, and pray for her and her family daily. Second, we will have a Giant Bucket in the foyer at the Church where you can put money into. This money will go directly to World Vision so they can get it to Mirna and her family. If you would prefer, you can give money to any of the Youth Adult workers and they will make sure your money get’s where it needs to go. This little girl is depending on us, so I challenge each of you to be faithful in what the Lord has laid upon the hearts of our youth who stood up when others would not and accepted this responsibility.
